This company that was launched in 2012 has become the central trading brand of Indigo Michael Ltd. They had started out a little earlier using the identity of ClearAccount, but this has since been phased out for lending and replaced as a financial tool. SafetyNet’s market reputation was solidified when they picked up Credit Today’s 2015 Alternative Lender of the Year (Specialist Consumer) award. Since this time, they have gone from strength to strength. This service isn’t advertised much, but they are managing to attract brand loyalty in spades through 2 areas of distinction.

Kabayan Finance is a direct lender geared at the Filipino community. This company was incorporated in 2009 and they began trading in 2010 at www.kabayanfinance.co.uk. They have attracted a loyal army of customers over the years. You get to see this on Facebook where they have almost 7000 fans. One of the strange occurrences with this lender is that despite being FCA authorised, they haven’t updated their payday loan to meet the required cap of 0.8% daily. The cost of a £100 30 day loan is packaged at £20 interest, but there is also a £5 Faster Payments fee. The total £25 here is higher than the limit of £24. Surely they’ll have to sort this out soon.

This company got up and running in 1999 and they have been trading on the web through www.paydayexpress.co.uk since 2003. There is no background information, but a single retail store in Bromley is likely where they started. This has been an American-owned business since April 2009. DFC Global Corp is otherwise known in the UK for their control of PaydayUK and The Money Shop. All brands run through the subsidiary of Instant Cash Loans Ltd. After capping was enforced we saw big upgrades on the flexibility side here. They did initially just serve a month, but now offer between 1 and 12.

As well as advertising on TV, this has been one of the best performing lenders in the search engines that has boosted their growth. They also like to engage with their customers on social media running various competitions. They now have 28,200+ fans on Facebook. Peachy.co.uk has remained their sole focus, but it did look like this would be joined by Uploan. There is a site built for that project, but they have not managed to get it up and running. DFC already had the British brands Payday Express and The Money Shop on their roster. All such companies today operate on the subsidiary of Instant Cash Loans Ltd. DFC serves more than 10 million customers worldwide and has a retail network of around 1300 retail stores. They have lost a few of these though with The Money Shop closing down 250 of their branches not long back.

The creators are Lending Stream who themselves have been actively trading since the year 2008. Competitive pricing has been seen in another freshly launched firm in Sunshine Credit who charge just £12 per £100 for their monthly (30 day) loans. Drafty’s costs are impressively twice as cheap with a minor service fee to pay of just £5.40. Flexibility is also a key feature with there being no fixed time to make the full repayment although it is better to settle within a few months.
